History of PD-go!
We, Pam and Steve Schwartz, started our website design business, Positive Design, in January 1999, as a side venture. Within a few months, we were both self-employed full time in the new venture. In March 2002, we launched the PD-go! system. The system allowed us to build custom websites for small business clients that they could easily update themselves, without being a techie or a programmer. This solution proved to be very popular with our clients and our business grew in volume and stability as a result. Over the years, we have created several hundred websites and typically enjoy new client sign ups every week.
Six years after its launch, in the next big phase in its growth and expansion, we formed PD-go! Franchising Company LLC as the corporate entity for offering and selling franchises of the PD-go! Web Solutions® franchise.
When we originally offered the franchise opportunity, we designed the franchise to be an exact copy of what we do at our main office everyday, which is marketing, selling and building websites, as well as training and supporting the clients afterwards. However, in our initial franchise sales efforts, we found that many potential franchisees were unsure if they could learn everything necessary to operate their franchise, and therefore, our marketing efforts were not fruitful. Also, due to the national and global financial recession, we found that potential franchisees were not able to secure necessary financing to finance their new business.
In June 2010, we made two major changes to the franchise opportunity; the first was to dramatically simplify the business model, and the second was to drop the price significantly. We strongly believe that these two changes will be the right formula to help budding business owners make the decision to become a PD-go! Web Solutions® franchisee.

We try to be positive-minded here at PD-go!. In fact, our original business "Positive Design" (which led to the "PD" in PD-go!) was named to communicate our outlook and mission in life: To make a positive impact on the world around us, to help people have a positive experience with their website, to encourage people to think and live with a positive outlook. To expect the best. To live with passion.
Innovation and believing "How can we do it?" (instead of "Can we do it?") are the foundations of what has made America great. Small businesses make up over 90% of the businesses in our country and are absolutely essential to our our economy. Small business owners are courageous, innovative, hard-working, over-taxed and underappreciated. We want to be among those who encourage small businesses, organizations, and ministries across this country today that they too can become successful. They can reach their goals. They can live their dreams.
But we need people to help us. We don't want to expand PD-go! with corporate offices and salaried managers who are just looking for a paycheck. We want to expand with people who have a passion for their own business. People who can reach out and impact their clients' businesses in their area in a positive way. People who realize their future depends on helping others reach their goals. When you help enough people get what they want, you get what you want. It's a win-win situation.
